BREAST HEALTH 

Breast cancer incidence is rising among Vietnamese American women, for whom it is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the third-leading cause of cancer death. Due to the low rate of screening, Vietnamese American women are diagnosed at advanced stages and consequently experience a higher mortality rate than other ethnicities.

BREAST EDUCATION

Although breast cancer is unpreventable, there are risk factors that we can change to lower our risk to of getting breast cancer. By simply being educated on the topic, you can help lower the rate of you and your family getting breast cancer.

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the United States. The leading prevention of breast cancer is early detection; therefore, VACF is determined to take part in reducing the incident rate of breast cancer by providing Clinical Breast Exam (CBE).
